The exchange master

The Pro-Ject Xpression S-Shape is a turntable for music lovers who have several stereo pickups or an additional mono pickup that should be played alternately. You will appreciate the removable headshell with a bayonet according to the SME standard. Mounted on different headshells, changing the pickup is a matter of seconds. The Ortofon 2M Silver pickup is factory-installed with silver coils.

As an alternative to the enclosed headshell, Concorde hi-fi cartridges from Ortofon can also be installed. The heavier counterweight required for this is available as an accessory.

Drive

• Surface of the chassis in piano lacquer black
• Mechanical speed selection between 33 and 45 rpm
• The chassis made of compacted wood fibers stands on three aluminum cones mechanically dampened with a rubber element
• The platter is a sandwich construction consisting of the sub-platter, a platter made of TPE-dampened, polished aluminum and a felt mat
• The platter bearing consists of a sintered bronze bushing in which a high-grade steel axle runs with a high degree of accuracy on a Teflon bearing base

Tonearm Pro-Ject 8.6 S-Shape

• S-shaped 8.6 inch tonearm with headshell attachment according to SME standard
• Delivery with mounted and adjusted Ortofon Pick it 2M Silver MM cartridge
• Counterweight for cartridges from 3 to 9g weight (when using the enclosed headshell with 7.5g weight) included. Further counterweights available as optional accessories
• The tonearm tube can be turned after loosening a screw. This enables a horizontal (azimuth) adjustment of the pickup
• The tonearm base offers an adjustment option for the vertical scanning angle (VTA)
• Inverted tonearm bearing with ball bearings in ABEC 7 quality
• An RCA / Cinch socket terminal makes it possible to connect individual phono cables
