The 60mm thick curved chassis made of seasoned Italian walnut shows all the qualities of an extraordinary material: remarkable elasticity, strength and high density. The wood has its origin in Tuscany. The people who work it are true artists in woodworking. The turntable has been designed for the greatest possible mechanical strength and in this respect, despite its gentle elegant lines, it represents a real innovation.

The drive is controlled by our in-house Quad-Core microcontroller implemented power supply unit, which is equipped with an extra converter: Thus, the 12V synchronous motor is supplied with low vibration and full pulling power by shaping the AC voltage signal. The result of this motor control is high dynamics and exceptional detail resolution. The Mediterraneo has electronic speed switching 33/45 and a storable, finely adjustable speed fine-tuning. Bearing bush and spindle are 60mm long and have the lowest manufacturing tolerances possible today. The spindle of the disc bearing is made of extremely hard carbon steel, while the bushing is made of finely polished brass with 1/100mm tolerance for optimum synchronisation.
