The Pro-Ject The Classic EVO is a reminiscence of the eternal models and icons of turntable construction: classic forms, reinterpreted. The careful selection of modern materials makes improvements wherever it makes sense.

The conical tonearm tube of the Pro-Ject 9cc is made of a carbon fibre/aluminium composite material and features high rigidity and low resonance. The extremely low-friction ball bearings in ABEC 7 quality place no mechanical restraint on the arm tube. This allows it to vibrate freely, and the pick-up needle can follow the record groove unhindered. The Pro-Ject Pick it 2M Silver MM cartridge is fitted ex works and harmonises perfectly with the effective mass of the mounted tonearm. However, the medium-weight tonearm of the Pro-Ject The Classic EVO is also perfectly suited for other MM or MC cartridges and for MC cartridges of the type Ortofon SPU N with headshell mounting according to 1/2-inch standard. The sub-chassis, floating on elements made of TPE*, is laminated with a layer of brushed aluminium. The convenient electronic speed selector pampers you if you often switch between 33 and 45 rpm. 

The polished aluminium platter and selected satin-finished veneers in walnut and eucalyptus underline the classic appearance of Pro-Ject The Classic EVO. 

Turntable

• Surface of the chassis veneered and silk-matt lacquered in walnut and eucalyptus

• The platter bearing consists of a sintered bronze bushing in which a stainless steel axle of high fitting accuracy runs on a Teflon bearing base
