Direct drive concepts from Dual have been known for decades for their durability and quality. The smooth-running direct drive in the CS 618Q is characterised by a high degree of running smoothness and an exact plate speed. Equipped with an electronic limit stop and automatic lift stop at the end of the platter, the CS 618Q also offers maximum ease of use. A built-in phono preamplifier (can be switched off) and the factory-fitted Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge complete the overall package. Frame: Solid MDF construction available in matt black, high-gloss black or with walnut veneer, feet with integrated resonance absorbers. Turntable: Die-cast aluminium construction with heavy rubber mat for resonance damping. The platter is supported by the solid bearing construction of the direct drive. Tonearm: Gimbal-mounted tonearm with integrated limit stop and lift. Solid aluminium bearing construction, equipped with pivot ball bearings. Adjustable tracking force and anti-skating. Drive: High-quality direct drive with quartz-stabilised speed control. Vibration-free running due to ironless coil construction. Double shielded to avoid magnetic interference fields.
