  • Uncompromisingly complete - the plug & play entry into True Balanced!

The Pro-Ject X2 brought the high standards demanded of a high-end turntable into attainable price dimensions. The joy of fine details, workmanship and high-quality materials has remained the same with the X2 B: The turntable made of satin-finished acrylic, three exclusive lacquer surfaces and the satin-waxed walnut veneer emphasise the elegant appearance.

With the Ortofon MC Quintet Red MC cartridge mounted and adjusted, the X2 B offers a decisive improvement in sound: it represents the entry into the true-balanced connection variant in the Pro-Ject portfolio. In combination with a balanced cable, which keeps the four signal-carrying wires and the shielding consistently separate, and a suitable phono preamplifier, every record lover thus benefits from fully balanced signal routing, higher signal-to-noise ratio and crystal-clear vinyl sound.

The electronic speed selection spoils you with comfort when you want to change between 33 and 45 rpm.

  • More mass in chassis, platter and tonearm

The heavy, dense and rigid MDF cabinet reduces unwanted resonances to almost unmeasurable levels. Inside is a sophisticated DC/AC motor control that, in combination with the electronic speed switching, provides clean and stable power to the motor system.

The conical tonearm tube of the slightly longer tonearm of the X2 B has a larger diameter and is made of a carbon fibre/aluminium composite with optimal damping values. Thus, it has a high stiffness and an impressive low resonance. The high-quality tonearm bearings compensate for the higher mass of the arm and allow the arm tube to move almost without mechanical escapement. The cabling is consistently symmetrical with complete separation of signal-carrying conductors and shielding.

An Ortofon MC Quintet Red MC pick-up system is mounted and adjusted ready to play. This means that True Balanced Connection is already possible ex works, for example with the Pro-Ject Connect it Phono E Mini-XLR cable and the Pro-Ject Phono Box S3 B preamplifier.
